WWEek: Woo Woo Woot The Hell Happened?
(Edition 1)

I'd like to begin by giving thanks to The Gooser for giving me the chance to post on the blog. Hopefully this is the first of many posts!
Anyway let me introduce myself to you. My name is Kevin (b.k.a. Kane on the blog) and I'm a 24 yr-old student from The Netherlands. I plan on doing a weekly edition of WWEek, which will consist of my thoughts and opinions on WWE programming. There can also be some room for some TNA- and ROH- thoughts. But I'll be honest with all you guys, it will be mostly about the WWE. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate TNA or ROH but at the moment it doesn't appeal enough to me to care. Things can change though. Now on to the wrestling:

For the second week in a row there was no Triple H on RAW, which gives MVP the chance to really step up as a main eventer and it gives also the McMahon/Batista vs Legacy feud a fresher feel. When HHH was involved in this angle I was rooting for Legacy all the way. Now with MVP instead of Trips it changed to 50/50 because I like the Legacy-faction, MVP and I like Shane o'Mac (in small doses). Too bad that MVP will be going into a (US title) feud with Regal, after Regal interfered in MVP's match.
In another chain of events on the show, a singing contest won by Festus lead to The Miz attacking Festus. After that The Miz challenged John Cena again, who in his turn came to the ring only to be beaten up by the Big Show. A couple of things I'd like to say about this:
- Singing contest on a wrestling show? Really....
- Miz on the mic = gold. But where does this angle lead to?
- Note to Cena: Run away, to fight another day....
And Cena vs Big Show at Judgment Day? Didn't we see that one already on Smackdown going into Mania?

One of the best matches I watched this week was Bourne vs Tyson Kid. They showed us their talent, which promises big things for the future. The ending of the match set up a potential Finlay/Tyson Kid feud.
Why is Kozlov beating up unknown jobbers, didn't they do that when he made his debut on Smackdown?
Apparently Hurricane Helms got Josh Matthews' old position as an interviewer backstage. In my opinion he's doing a great job, maybe a colour commentator in the future?
Also on ECW a one on one match between Mark Henry and Christian turned into a Tag Team Match after interference from Swagger and Dreamer. Perhaps setting up a match for Extreme Rules (formerly known as One Night Stand) which is the PPV after Judgment Day.

Woo woo woot the hell happened Zack? Going from an Edge look-a-like in the Main Event to ECW with a gimmick worse than Curryman. (That's right, I can't believe I've said it, but the only way to describe it is Ugh.)
The Cutting Edge was OK, don't know if it was me but it sounded like Edge was a little bit off. Also there was a Diva's tag match with 'Santina'.... enough said.
Maineventing were Jericho and Morrison, who put on a great match which ended with a Shelton video distracting Morrison. The only thing I don't get is how Morrison is a face now. Is it because he's fighting heels now? Or maybe because he called Jericho a loser and a whiner? Anyway it was another match I enjoyed.

Finally I found some time to watch this weeks Smackdown and my thoughts are a bit mixed...
I liked the Jericho vs Hardy match and with Rey and Edge around the ring, I'd say tagteam match next Friday. Decent buildup with promo's at the beginning of the show specially by Jericho, who plays his role to perfection in my opinion. But still I'm wondering, what is up with Rey attacking Jericho after the match? Just keep it simple: Rey is the face and Jericho the heel, no need to complicate things.
Also I enjoyed Morrison vs Haas. A good wrestling match without the comedy antics of Haas. I liked his impersonations on Raw before he was drafted, but it was nice to see Haas being Haas again.
Although I just finished watching, I can hardly remember what else was on Smackdown. A couple of matches I didn't really care about like the Diva's match and the Future Endeavours match (Knox vs R-Truth). And there also was a match between Khali and Ziggler, which didn't turn into a Khali-squash-match because Ziggler got hold of a chair.
So this was my first and hopefully not last WWEek, I hope you enjoyed reading it. Also let me know that you think about it, I'm always open to suggestions.

Curryman was the only crazy gimmick that I liked in TNA
ot Sharkboy Steve Austin, SuperEric, Black Machismo, Ryiasha Syieed (fuck the spelling), Rhaka Khaan, The New Samoa Joe, Rock N Rave Infection, Roxxxi “The VooDoo Queen”, Suicide, The Abyss that speaks, or Black Reign,
Black Reign the worst thing that I have ever seen……Rat on a pole match??????????????????
Rellik That’s (Killer spelled backwards) was the worst TNA gimick. WWe programmong has been diplorable as of late and I fear that MVP will be lost in the mix. Im looking for smackdown to surpass raw again in entertainment value.
it has not been diplorable.
Are you kidding me? OK, the writing isnt there, but the wrestling matches(for TV) have been consistently good. Smackdown, Superstars, and ECW, to be precise.
You cant edit RAW so the timing is off and has the worst quality of matches
I enjoy smackdown more. Besides I am sick and tired of WWE programming crammed with filler that draws away from the show. IE the HHH/orton clips being shown time and time again. Really how much mileage can you get out of one 5 minute video package. The filler has begun to take up 60% of wwe weekly programming. Lets just say I couldn’t watch wrestling without a DVR.
