WWE: Raw (22nd June 09)
OK let me be the first to say that if the WWE fans are going to get anything out of the Donald Trump angle then he needs to develop an on screen personality and fast! The guy obviously has charisma and appeal to him as he is one of the most well known businessmen in the world. But it doesn't come across on TV. It didn't at Wrestlemania 23, and it didn't last week.
With that said, tonights Raw is commercial free for the first time ever and will certainly move along with the Trump angle. It also has a last man standing match advertised between Randy Orton and Triple H.

thats how trump always acts, thats how he acts on the apprentace when hes telling the contestants about today’s challenge, he’s not going to change.
anyhoo, i haven’t been sitting through RAW all the way, ill give it a try tonight.
First Raw I will watch in long. Should I be expecting good? The one show I listen to says Raw is good, but one host has a greater bias. And the other is more realistic.
Trump just gave refunds for everyone who is attending Monday Night Raw tonight.

Jeff Hardy slipped! I fucking hate his face paint. This is the first thing I’m gonna watch by WWE since I went to Raw a while back. When did Khali start using this gimmick? Edge! Mark out. CM Punk mark out. Is he going heel?
A countdown? Really? So we are to assume that this is going to be a short to medium length match. And maybe two quick fillers

That ladder hitting the crew member, was pretty good.
Also this finish to the match is not bad as it keeps the annual feud between HHH and Orton going.

Overall really good raw with nice build up to the bash ( which I defenetly order).

Was a good show, The whole Vince buying it back was a tad retarded. I think the smackdown match was pretty good, and I hate to say it, but the Show Cena match was good as well. The bull shit ending with H and Orton was saved by McMahons announcement, I though that match was a little under par. The rest of the show was pretty good and I like the way that even tho there were no commercials, they still pushed that Kentucky Chicken more than the Chris Masters comeback is likley to get…..
not a perfect raw, nothing special, and the whole trump thing didnt make any sense. if trump bought raw, it meant he made no money off of it, he just bought booking power? that’s fucking stupid. why would vince or anyone ever do something so stupid. i hated it.
The Last Scene made it all worth while. I really thought Triple H was going to kiss Orton. MAGIC!

A little off topic but did anyone see the Confederation Cup match between US and Spain? Or is the beautiful game still yet to score stateside?
Impressed US just ended Espana’s 35 match run, a team that won the Euro with ease and has a team consisting of the worlds best players such as David Villa, Fernando Torres, Fabregas and Puyol.
Amazing result there PF. Especially because the USA has played so badly recently. They got massacred by Italy and Brazil and backed in to the semis on most goals scored. Then to do this? I assume that the spaniards must have taken the game very lightly.
I watched it Pole Foam. I love watching International soccer.
D.K., they might have backed into it, but they did what they had to do to get in, and even if Spain took it lightly, the U.S. played the best game since the 2002 World Cup.
They will give S.A, or Brazil a handful in the final.
I don’t think so. I think Brazil will look at the Spain game and give them a pasting. Remember, this is the same USA team that got beaten by Costa Rica a few weeks ago.

I will agree with both of you’s. Spain did take it easy in the beginning and the US capitalised on that. But when Spain attacked back in the second half, the US just defended superbly. The final is Brazil and US, which will be very interesting.
Arron, come on, get real. The USA and SPain could plain 100 times and Spain would win 98 of them. One shock win in a mickey mouse tournament doesn’t suddenly make the USA a world power.
But it was still a nice win all the same.
