WWE: Raw (15th June 09)
This will have to be a quick post as I can't watch Raw tonight. If the PWBites out there could report back to me on whether they like Raw tonight then I will know whether to watch it or not! They are holding the three hour special tonight which can be very hit and miss.
Vince is back. He loves the general manager / commissioner roll to be on his TV product, and I guess he thinks he is the best man for the job. I am assuming he will be taking over from Vicky Guerrero in the storylines.
Rey Mysterio will challenge Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Title, and they have a four-way main event booked between John Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton and Big Show for the title.

Pre-Night of Champions show. 4 title matches…..MVP in none of em. How does Big show deserve to0 be in a fatal 4 way if he keeps getting his ass kicked on PPV?
Big Show may win tonight to look dominant again or…………..HHH. We all know why,,,,
HHH become 14 time champ, hope not. Big Show may win because he hasnt been winning…..

Ugh. Well that about does it for Raw. How lame was it that they tried to pass off a taped segment as Trump being “live via satellite”?

They have to stretch this Orton/HHH feud up until Summerslam for that Hell in a Cell match somehow. like 3 PPVs away.

Hey guys, the King has left his homeland of England and is in the states for the next four months, this is the first Raw I have seen at a reasoinable hour in over a year, so far I am enjoying it……
I think they will save HHH Orton for Summerslam, I hope they do and don’t rush it all for the Bash!

Orton vs HHH for the 9th time this year, next week in a last man standing match….then in a normal match at The Bash! YEAH! (using Lex’s sarcasm)
At first I thought well maybe he got Ted Turner in on it then I said nah he can’t stand that guy. I figured it was either Trump or Flair depending on how he wanted the storyline to go. I have to say my fav match of the night was the one with CM Punk. My husband and I bet on it and I won.
I used to love Last Man Standing matches…now they are over done like everything in WWE.
This was the PERFECT opportunity to give MVP a title shot. It was a battle royal so it’s not like he’s going over anybody, and he just lost the United States title, I thought it was obvious that he win.
When HHH and Cena eliminated Miz I changed the channel.
was dreading flair, hoping for eric, indifferent on trump.
happy orton won, not that bad seeing hhh over, i just wish miz eliminated cena, then hhh eliminated miz. Legacy is awful, they’re 1 charisma point away from being a comedy duo with the lack of productivity and complete incompetance in the ring and in helping orton.
orton and hhh will have the match on raw, if orton retains they give a rematch @ the bash. i doubt orton will retain, and say trips over, rematch at the bash, hell in a cell at night of champs where orton regains the belt, ready for a cena feud at summerslam. i doubt they are going to drop orton out of the main event, but there is a good chance of cena/triple h at mania.
id say if they want to push mvp to the main event they’re going to have to turn him back heel or keep the belt on orton going into the fall ppvs.
Wow another last man standing match between Orton and HHH….. I was tempted to say, but after doing some research the match happened only 2 times before (No mercy ‘07, One Night Stand ‘08). But it feels like Orton vs HHH in a last man standing match has been done about a million times.
So I hope Orton retains the belt and then moves on to a feud with MVP. Orton vs Cena and Orton vs HHH we have seen to much in the past couple of years.
maybe HHH will break Orton’s collarbone again in this Last Man Standing match.
Maybe if HHH does it Orton will get HHH released like he did Kennedy………Kennedy.
It just goes to show you how out of ideas they are. 1last man standing match per feud, no matter how intense it is, is enough. 3 is just ridiculous.
I agree, why not an ambulance match or a stretcher match or perhaps an I quit match…….

its too early for mvp to get the belt as a face in the wwe. he is still not that over with most crowds, he need one interesting, extended feud with a top heel before he goes for the belt; either big show or orton. so realisticly, the earliest he should get the belt if all goes well is survivor series. rushing it will only ruin the reign, unless we want him to see cm punk’s first reign all over again.
CM Punk was great yesterday, he can really shine if the booking is correct as he has the ability to cut promos.
i think thus far they’re booking punk perfect. they’re not making him a Cena face, but they’re not making him a real heel. its an interesting and realistic character, different from everyone else in a long time from wwe. its a great dynamic with edge and hardy putting him in the middle of the spectrum so they can put off making him go one way or another.
With any luck Punk will finish strong.
this raw would of been great if it wasnt for trump i wish it would of been eric bischoff that would of been a great angle the only thing i see out of this is another Vince vs trump feud that will suck and yeah raw is gonna be horrible just as it has been smackdown all the way
