Vince McMahon Planning WWE TV Network
It been long rumored that WWE chairman Vince McMahon had been considering a launching his own WWE cable network but those rumors have never been confirmed, until now. In recent interviews McMahon has officially announced his plans saying that he wants to get the network up and running sometime within the next 2 years. In order to support this effort WWE has recently made a push to bring in more high profile advitisers including AT&T, Pepisco and Procter & Gamble this also explains there more family friendly image.
For most launching a TV network in todays economy would hard but I have no doubt that Vince will get this done. Considering WWE colossal archive of wrestling tapes that not only include WWE but footage from ECW, NWA, WCW, AWA and more not to mention the tons of documentaries they already have put together for there DVD sets the cost of providing content is pretty much zero. Also having there own network would give WWE negotiating leverage when the contracts for USA and WGN are up. The only hiccup would be getting cable providers to offer the network as apart of there lineup which has proven to be difficult for some start up cable TV networks in the past.

yes.
Got to love the picture of the XFL, this could be another failed outside project for the McMahons though at least this one is going to be more wrestling based so they have a chance at success. With the WWE’s vast video library this has the potential to be great but doing this during an economic recession when business is low may not be the smartest move.
I hope We get this soon!
Then I guess there would be no point for WWE on demand
The Orig Nick,
You could say WWE on demand will be repackaged and redistributed as a tv channel?
