UFC To Induct Two Fighters Into The Hall Of Fame
The UFC has announced that they will add two more people into their hall of fame on the eve of UFC 100.
The UFC hall of fame is a lot more select than the WWE version. To date they only have five fighters in it. They are:
- Dan Severn
- Mark Coleman
- Ken Shamrock
- Randy Couture
- Royce Gracie
They haven't yet named who the fighters will be but the money has to be on Chuck Liddell. After Dana White insisting that his carrer is now over it seems to make sence to put Chuck in there.
As soon as news comes available I will post who the inductees will be, but who do you guys think deserves to be in there, and who do you think will actually go in?

My money would be on Helio Gracie and Chuck Liddell.
While Helio never fought in the octagon, he’s the godfather of MMA and it would be a show of respect to the Gracie family.
Chuck is an obvious choice to drive home the “your retired” point. I think it would be unfortunate if thats the reason why he gets in, because he deserves it as one of the best light heavyweights ever.
Outside chance on Matt Hughes since the Serra fight could be his last.
VERY outside chance on Tito Ortiz…if we’re talking about people who helped to build the UFC to where it is today, Tito deserves it despite ducking Randy.
Chuck’s got to be one of them, wouldn’t be suprised if he officially retires at 100. He’s done a lot for MMA and been a great success but there’s no need for him to fight anymore as it would only tarnish his legacy and risk long-term brain damage. I’d like him to be inducted as it would be a nice way for him to say goodbye to the fans like when Austin was inducted into the WWE HoF.
I wouldn’t be suprised if Hughes is the other one, as he’s on the verge of retiring and was world class in his prime, probabaly the most dominant champion other than Anderson Silva in the UFC. I don’t like the guy but he deserves his spot. Tito deserves it as well but it doesn’t look like he’ll be inducted any time soon.
Helio Gracie would be a nice touch, he is the most deserving out of everyone that has died in the last year because he was a genuine legend and innovator of the sport. I’ve heard rumours that it could be Tanner or Mask and whilst both did a lot, neither would be talked about as HoF caliber if they were still alive, but Gracie would.
