The Top 10 Matches That We Will Never See
These are the matches that I really wish we could have the chance to witness. I hope you enjoy them, who would you all like to see Samoa Joe wrestle?
- Chris Jericho vs Mr Perfect
Two of my favourite wrestlers of all time. I would love to see a heel perfect against a face Jericho. The mic skills of both are as good as their in ring abilities.
- Angle vs Mr Perfect
Wrestling clinic written all over it. Surely it would have provided endless 2 counts and counters for counters that we didn’t know existed.
- The Rock vs Cena
I actually think Cena would get over in this match. It would be worth watching for the crowd reaction alone.
- A J Styles vs HBK
This match will never happen. Michales still has a lot in the tank, he is still the showstopper and for that reason I’d love to see him face TNA’s brightest star.
- Randy Savage vs Edge
Again imagine the build up to the match. Savage and Edge would be a fitting main event for any wrestling card.
- Benoit vs The Dynamite Kid
Ok an obvious choice but I really would of loved to have seen these to go at it. It would have been pure wrestling gold.
- Eddie vs Owen Hart
Words couldn’t describe how I felt when I learnt of the passing of these two men. If any could have had one more match I really think this would have been a true all round classic. Imagine Eddie pulling his cheating antics on a bitter brother hating Owen.
- Hogan vs Austin
If they were gonna do it they would have done it by now. Many believe that this match would probably suck, but to have the greatest star of the 80s against the greatest of the 90s would be an awesome piece of nostalgia.
- Samartino vs Brain Danielson
What a legendary match this would be. If only Danielson had a time travelling Dolorian. I would like to think it would go an hour.
- Angle VS Bret Hart
The match that all true wrestling fans would really want to see. Bret has admitted he would have loved to have faced Angle. This match would be up there with the very greatest of all time.

Great Khali-Giant Gonzales, what dreams are made of. Seriously Bret-Angle is right at the top of my dream matches that will never happen. I’d also like to see the battle of the Bulldogs, Davey Boy-Dynamite, as they are the two best wrestlers this country has ever produced and it would have been a great way to jump start single runs for both guys if DK hadn’t suffered so many injuries. I’d also like to see Steamboat in his prime against any top stars, Angle, HBK and Taker being at the top of my list. AJ and Joe could have great matches with anyone in WWE today, as long as both had well written characters rather than the crap they’ve both been stuck with in recent times.
I’m with you on all of those. I’d love to see the battle of the bulldogs, that should have been on there. There were so many matches I wanted to see involving Angle and past wrestlers I could have made a top 10 just involving him.

I want a Joe vs RVD match, but RVD/Perfect would have been GREAT if it was a 20 min match instead of a 3 minute Sunday Night HEAT squash match

Some intresting matches there. After ringing my brain for the last week I have decided that I would like to see Joe vs Umaga. It may heppen one day. I hope the E start using Umaga the way they did late 06/early07, he really is such a talent.

If you remember, Chris and CM were supposed to go at it for the ECW Title before Chris’ untimely passing. I think that they woulda put on a classic.

How about more realistic matches that could’ve taken place but never did? For instance, wrestlers that at one time were in the same promotion but never had a program together that truly meant anything? For example, Bret Hart and Macho Man have fought one on one, but that was before Bret Hart became World Champ.

Well being a younger fan I’m sure a lot of mine are still possible or may have happened by the time this is read but oh well.
Bret v Angle would easily be the greatest match. But having said that, having a heel Scott Hall v the HHH of 1999 would’ve been an awesome match too. And Goldberg v Brock if done properly is a PPV winner (preferable an MMA themed match)
