We all thought Ric Flair was sincerely hanging up his boots forever after his classic match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 but we should have known better after all this is professional wrestling. In a recent interview with Scripps News Flair flat out said he wants to wrestle again:

I want to wrestle again, I watch (WWE) and I can still do better than 90 percent of the guys there. I weigh one less pound than the day I retired. I still work out really hard and I wrestle my kid (Reid) all the time. It's not like I haven't been in the ring.

I love the business, I was thinking the other day about the reason why God gave me this health. I don't hurt anywhere. I haven't lost any strength. I'm just like I was 10 years ago. I keep thinking, 'Why am I signing autographs when I can still take backdrops?

Flair went on to explain that he contacted Vince McMahon via text message last month to inquire as to why he wasn't apart of the draft special. He says Vince replied with a simple "You're retired". So their may not be need to worry because Flair went on to say even though he's now working with RoH he wouldn't wrestling again unless he got permission from his prior employers:

I respect Shawn and (WWE) so much that I wouldn't do anything to disrespect them. They would have to give me full approval (to wrestle again). They put me in a special place.

While I expect Flair to stay true to his word and not wrestling again without the okay from the WWE I really doubt that Vince will be able to resist the urge to put Flair back into the ring if he pushed the matter. So after reading this article I'd be willing to bet that we will see Flair lace up his boots at least one more time before he dies.
