Ric Flair Wants To Wrestle Again
We all thought Ric Flair was sincerely hanging up his boots forever after his classic match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 but we should have known better after all this is professional wrestling. In a recent interview with Scripps News Flair flat out said he wants to wrestle again:
I want to wrestle again, I watch (WWE) and I can still do better than 90 percent of the guys there. I weigh one less pound than the day I retired. I still work out really hard and I wrestle my kid (Reid) all the time. It's not like I haven't been in the ring.
I love the business, I was thinking the other day about the reason why God gave me this health. I don't hurt anywhere. I haven't lost any strength. I'm just like I was 10 years ago. I keep thinking, 'Why am I signing autographs when I can still take backdrops?
Flair went on to explain that he contacted Vince McMahon via text message last month to inquire as to why he wasn't apart of the draft special. He says Vince replied with a simple "You're retired". So their may not be need to worry because Flair went on to say even though he's now working with RoH he wouldn't wrestling again unless he got permission from his prior employers:
I respect Shawn and (WWE) so much that I wouldn't do anything to disrespect them. They would have to give me full approval (to wrestle again). They put me in a special place.
While I expect Flair to stay true to his word and not wrestling again without the okay from the WWE I really doubt that Vince will be able to resist the urge to put Flair back into the ring if he pushed the matter. So after reading this article I'd be willing to bet that we will see Flair lace up his boots at least one more time before he dies. Flair is a moron, he was given the best possible retirement a wrestler could hope for, as he was involved in a classic match at Mania against a close friend, was inducted into the HoF the night before he retired and was given an emotional send-off at the end of Raw as the whole roster broke kayfabe in order to show him respect and let him leave the right way, yet the idiot wants to throw all of this away by wrestling again.
Ric is too old to wrestle now, you should have retired years ago and you’re lucky that HBK helped you leave on a high and Vince gave you a great retirement storyline, after having a dreadful final run in WWE. He’s also deluded if he thinks that he could outperform 90% of the roster, he looked atrocious against Jericho and the fact that Steamboat was able to have a couple of awesome performances does not mean that Flair can come back and do the same. He should concentrate on looking after his body (wrestling in his 60s won’t do him any good whatsoever) and his family (Reid has already been arrested twice and the lad clearly has issues which his dad should be helping him with instead of wrestling him) instead of another wrestling comeback which won’t do anything other than ruin his wonderful retirement last year and forever tarnish his career.
Flair should really realise that his time has passed.

This is coming from a guy that praises ROH on their TV show 3 weeks after he said in an interview(Between the Ropes) that he had never seen ROH before.
I am tired of Flair. Unless he became a GM or a heel announcer then I dont want to read or see him. No disrespect but I was never a Flair fan, and not because he was heel. Once he stopped being able to pull off his signature turnbuckle flop, he was done.

i would like to see flair wrestle because i do believe he could still work better than 90% of the guys they’ve got on tv.
i would not like to see flair wrestle because it would spoil the send out the wwe and, more so, shawn gave him.
although, if he came back i would like it to be against a heel HHH. actually, i’d be really happy to see a heel hhh period.

and jsn, i wasnt saying he would wrestle a heel triple h because they never wrestled before, i know they wrestled pleanty of times. if flair ever came back to the wwe he would wrestle triple h, and i would hope hhh would be heel.
Guess we know whether Flair’s gonna wrestle in the WWE again after tonight’s Judgment Day.
