Countdown to UFC 98

Pretty freakin' cool if I do say so myself, and definately a fitting place for us to take a hiatus from the interviews.

awesome Lex, big time exposure for PWB! on Spike TV no less.

  4. Definitely the bigtime, props to LL.

And who won the MMA match between the duo? this UFC has a good way of getting the casual viewer interested.

    JSN,

As Matt pointed out, they did source it.

    PF,

Matt Hughes won via decision. I didn’t get to see the fight, but it was supposedly very close, and it sounded like Serra was coming on strong at the end.

Hiya Lex, good to see ya brother.

I noticed this on the preview show too. I remember when the interview first came out I was thinking that they should use all his smack talking somewhere.

The fight was very close. Serra looked like he had it in the first round when he pretty much put Hughes away. Hughes used his wrestling skills to keep him to the ground on the other two rounds to get the points desicion. I thought it was a real shame as I was really rooting for Serra, and it would have been great to see him KO Hughes.

  7. LL and The Gooser,
The match sounds good and will try to check it out. I think Serra got to drawn on Hughes personally and did not focus on the match as much. While Hughes kept quiet all the time, pretty smart tactic.

Great news Lex, Serra’s interview was awesome. The fight itself wasn’t that great, Serra got an early knockdown after an accidental headbutt and a punch back to the head then Hughes took him down and that was the story of the fight until a late flurry by Serra but by then it was too little too late. Not a Hughes fan but he did deserve the UD, Serra performed well though.
