Smackdown! Discussion: Kane vs MVP

This weeks episode of Smackdown looks pretty average on paper. Batista will continue his boring feud with “La Familia” by taking on Chavo. Also Kane will facce MVP don’t forget about the great series of matches these two had almost 2 years ago during MVP’s debut. And Bam Neely will have his first WWE singles match when he faces Matt Hardy, here’s the rest of the card:
- Batista vs. Chavo Guerrero
- Kane vs. MVP
- Matt Hardy vs. Bam Neely
- Finlay vs. The Miz
- Michelle McCool vs. Layla El
- Jamie Noble vs. Vladimir Kozlov
- Jesse & Festus vs. Deuce & Domino

show looks decent for smackdown, its a shame jamie noble is gonna get burried though, hes a great athlete that they do nothing with, maybe he should think about going to tna where they’d utalize him more im sure in the X division

i don’t like even looking at matches that aren’t officially announced, i don’t know, maybe it’s just me. I’m hopinh for a good show. They’ve gone away from the regular card pattern of vickie and edge, then finlay and hornswoggle, then the models, so i’m happy for now. I will however resort to turning the channel when the aforementioned crappy parts occur.
hey, does anyone else think some longer tights and a singlet would work better for bam?

yea bam looks really plain, they needa do something with his wordrobe. and as much as i dont like vickie its amazing how much heat she brings and MVP could almost play a heel or face on command it seemed in that opening segment

anyone else think Edge and vicki are becoming like vince and taking up way too much of the show, after everymatch its edge or la familia in a backstage segment, like come on, progress other storylines for the love of god

I have turned the channel. I really couldn’t care less about what she looks, I hate these generic face blonds. Give them a character, a gimmick, an attitude, something that makes them a tiny bit different from the rest of them, that’s why Maria first got over. If you’re not going to wrestle, why not be interesting, Melina, Mickie, Beth, Katie Lea, Victoria, Jillian all have characters, every girl in TNA has a character. Why cant Michelle, Maryes, and Cherry.

i happen to love edge and vickie. I’m a self proclaimed edge mark, and he was starting to get cheered, and vickie is one of the most and most widely hated heels in the industry. I wish Taker could have had a longer run, but i think they still add alot more than they take away.
ps. noble didnt get completely squashed, it was kind of like how kong squashed the chick last night, except noble sort of matters

i think natalie neighdhart (however you spell it) will win the smackdown womens belt or whatever and then get drafted to raw then micki to smackdown so natalie can be in the 2nd generation stable as a champ with the tag belts also, i really hope if they do this stable they make it really good and it gets over as a heel stable

Hey Vicki is a great heel. Sure she’s getting too much air time but right now who’s a better heel than Vicki right now? (exclude Edge)
PS: After watching the rock commercial for that DVD, I just like 12 or 13 years old again lol.

yea true, but why do they still have her in the wheel chair? i dont get that at all, i mean she hasnt been in any injury type angle since the royal rumble, unless i guess that just is how they want her appearance to be but i just find it a bit odd

i LOVE the wheelchair, it’s funny to the smarks that realize how ridiculous it is, and it gets her over as a heel to the marks and michael cole.
man, robinson wouldn’t have been so bad if foley had of played it for the fun and as soon as khali squashed him they cut away to commercial. It nobody really cares if a giant beats up a referee because referees don’t get any sympathy. maybe i’m a tiny bit of a robinson mark but aside from that who cares?

what a soft clothsline, are knox, bam and snitsky all the same people? i’m glad Batista’s getting owned though, it adds more to the feud than if he just cleared the ring and ended the show like that.

Although I turned the channel for Hornswoggle/Finlay and the models, the show overall was fine. None of the matches were anything special, but pretty much all the stories were acceptable to enjoyable, I dig what they’re doing with MVP, it’s like how the jericho/hbk thing was going, you dont really know how it is going to play out. I can only hope they don’t ruin MVP like they did Kennedy, because I think he has even more potential than Kennedy.
