Vince Wants Mick On The Mic
Written by sideshowraheem on April 26th, 2008 in Uncategorized.
Vince McMahon must not be pleased with the announcing job be done on Smackdown. Dave Meltzer is reporting on the Wrestling Observer website that WWE has contacted Mick Foley and would like for him to start announcing on SmackDown. No other details on whether Foley has accepted the offer are known at this time. Finally someone has a good idea, Foley is obviously a natural fit at the announcing position and traviling with the Smackdown roster would give him an opportunity to return to the ring for the occasional match which we all know he loves to do. Hopefully he will accept.

Ugh.
Not be be the black sheep here, but Foley’s place isn’t in the announcer booth. Michael Cole/Mick Foley. There wouldn’t be any conflict which has made all the great commentary teams great in the first place.
JR/Lawler used to be incredible when Lawler was more of a heel, now it’s just like two buddies watching a match and it bores me to death.

Nobody said Coach was going anywhere they could go with a 3 man team.

A 3-man team would be nice.
I personally don’t mind Coach all that much, I just assumed if Foley was to come it would be to replace Coach.

foleys commentating at one night stand was terrible.

I like this idea and i hope he accepts it. I think Coach is getting better, but if they get Mick to be there he’d add some humor, bring some wrestling knowledge, and will fill in the awkward no talk spots that happen when Coach says something idiotic and Cole takes a minute before moving on to the next point.

Ha! They want him for StaleDown, but not for ECW. Doesn’t ECW need help as it is right now?

Chill out about the podcast, guys. I’ve been really busy with a new schedule at work…I’ll get it out as soon as I can.

Hey Lex, I know this is off topic, but I’ve emailed you inquiring posting. You haven’t gotten back at me, or are you just not taking posters at the moment?
April 26th, 2008 at 1:49 pm

The e-mail address is so overloaded with spam that I probably just didn’t see it. I’ve actually been trying to remove the widget with the yahoo e-mail on it, but I can’t right now…wordpress won’t let me edit it for some reason.
Go over to the podcast site, and use the link there to submit an e-mail to me…let me know what e-mail you use for your wordpress user name, and I’ll add you as a poster.

Adamle+ Coach = ECW Tuesday Night Heat
April 26th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
It would make more sense for Coachman to just take Adamle’s ECW spot on play-by-play. Coach has experience in real sports play-by-play so it would make some sense here. If it’s necessary to keep him, Adamle can practice his skills on the Florida developmental’s new TV show.

They’re not taking Adamle off TV. they gave him his spot, and they’re gonna keep him there no matter how shitty he is.

but speaking of Smackdown, this weeks show was pretty good, I’d say best since after Wrestlemania.

Kanadian -
defend your position on StaleDown. I had to work, and missed it, yet cant be bothered to acquire the show in some way.

Smackdown has been shitty and boring and, well, like you’re saying, stale, since Wrestlemania. But this week had a long CM Punk vs Edge match, another good (not PPV quality, but good) Batista vs Undertaker match, Miz vs Shannon Moore, and a fine MVP/Matt Hardy promo. It still had Vladimir Kolzlaw, and a Natalya vs Cherry match that was better than Michelle McCool burying Victoria but still too bad, long, and bad. So it wasn’t the best show, but it was ok throughout and the CM Punk vs Edge match was really good.

i hope colt cabana gets called up soon and have some kinda of 2 week tag team with cm punk that would be awesome
