ECW Discussion: Chavo Guerrero v. CM Punk, ECW Championship

My goal for the week is to get a discussion post up for every show. Two down, two to go.
Regardless, this ECW features an ECW Title match between Chavo Guerrero and CM Punk. Anyone think Punk will drop the title consider Edge will be in Chavo’s corner?
If Punk does drop, let’s hope it’s a sign that he’s moving on to bigger and better things. Chavo as ECW champ might not actually be so bad…he can wrestle and would make a good opponent for guys like Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin.
Random thought: you don’t hear a lot about Balls Mahoney lately, do you? I mean, granted, I’ve barely watched ECW in several weeks, but still.

OMG. Completely unrelated, but they taped a FOUR POLE match at the Impact tapings. Three poles had rat traps, and one had Misty the Rat. SERIOUSLY. You knew it was coming. UGH.

He’s moving up the ladder if they move him back to mid card I will be pissed.

Chavo, Edge, and the Edge-Heads make a pretty decent faction they just need a good name. I don’t disagree with the decision to put the title on Chavo but shouldn’t it been done at the Rumble, you know some place people would actually see it.

I still think givin enough time ECW can be a great WRESTLING show with the talent they have on their short roster. Kofi Kingston is great. I saw him in person at a house show last week. I think everyone should give ECW a shot. I really like the new set. It makes everything seem more important .

That was actually an enjoyable show, I thought. And like I said earlier, Chavo as ECW Champ makes sense if you’re trying to get the young guys experience. Good move by the WWE and cool ending to the show.

i know this isn’t going to happen, but wouldn’t it be awesome if this was leading to Punk winning the rumble and going on to challenge him at wrestlemania. they better add punk to the rumble just so that i can dream. but seriously, that would be a great match, it wouldnt make the main event, but i’d say it would be at the top of my wish list. too bad undertaker’s gonna win.

i think they should name the new stable the ”rated army” and have punk feud with them and have punk face edge at no way out that would be a fantastic feud
