Who’s The New Guy?

Those of us who watched ECW instead of Impact last Thursday saw a video promo for new comer Kofi Kingston. I’ve seen this guy at a couple of Indie shows in the past I’ve also seen him wrestle dark matches at various WWE events and let me tell you he is very impressive. He can cut a promo is extremely athletic and is quick as a hiccup as J.R. would say. But the most impressive thing about him is he only been wrestling for 2 years and has been almost exclusively trained by the WWE developmental staff in Ohio Vally and Deep South Wrestling you know some of the same people that brought up and trained the likes of John Morrison, Charlie Haas, Elijah Burke, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, and Shelton Benjamin. In my opinion this guy could be the next big thing check out the his promo video followed buy a match he had in Deep South against TJ Wilson(who is no jobber by any means). If you put Shelton Benjamin and Carlito some kind of a giant blender Kofi Kingston would be what came out I can’t wait for his ECW debut.

This is a really interesting gimmick its a sort of cool runnings type thing, hopefully he can inject some life into ECW

I’ve never met the guy, that said, some of the people I know who once were with DSW say he is one of the better guys to come out of it. He seems like he will be a much welcomed addition to the show. Lets hope for a 3 way with him, Carlito, and shelton. Now that would be cool.

I was at the Smackdown/ECW taping last night and Kofi wrestled Steve Cornio (who I believe is now working with the E as a Road Agent). The kid has the feel of a superstar when he is in the ring and he was really fun to watch.
